About en.Longinescom

Longines was founded in 1832 by Auguste Agassiz in Saint-Emieux, Switzerland, originally as a small watch workshop, focusing on the production of pocket watches. In 1867, as the company moved to a new production site and officially changed its name to "Longines", the brand launched the iconic 20A movement, which won first prize at the Paris World's Fair in the same year, and began its brilliant course of technological innovation. Longines dabbed in sports timekeeping as early as 1912, introducing the world's first electric timer and, in the 1920s, a watch with turntable timing that laid the foundation for modern timekeeping technology. In the field of flight and navigation timekeeping, Longines also made notable achievements in designing navigation watches for aviator Charles Lindbergh. Longines' design style is known for its elegance and classic, and its watches use simple yet sophisticated designs that blend traditional watchmaking craft and modern technology. The brand's classic collections, such as the Master Collection, the Master Collection, the DolceVita Collection and the HydroConquest Collection, each have their own unique style and character. In addition, Longines has a deep connection with sports and has been the official timekeeper for international events such as equestrian, skiing, track and field and gymnastics since the end of the 19th century, through which Longines not only showcases its precise timing technology, but also further enhances the brand's awareness and reputation. Longines' brand image is closely linked to elegance, tradition and superior quality. Its slogan "Elegance is an attitude" accurately conveys the brand's core values. Longines not only focuses on the exterior design of the watch, but also emphasizes its intrinsic quality and precise performance, making it synonymous with elegance and excellence.
